A $1000 Stipend!
Sheryl was awarded the WM DPG American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) $1000 stipend for 2009. Read about it and be sure to scroll down the page to Sheryl's section.

As of December 2008 Sheryl is extremely honored to be a part of the Bariatric Program Team at the Fresno Heart & Surgical Hospital. She is the new Bariatric Dietitian and will see all Bariatric Surgery Patients for Nutrition Education. On-site hours will be Tuesday-Saturday mornings and as patient contact require. It is an honor to see the continuation of patient care continue to develop, from working with patients before surgery at the Pre-Surgical Nutrition Workshop, and now during their hospital stay should they have their surgery at the Fresno Heart & Surgical Hospital. I look forward to furthering the education process with additional classes yet to be developed.

Support Group (Workshops) Location Change:
The Fresno Heart & Surgical Hospital is now the new location of our Monthly Support Groups. They have graciously provided a full-service conference room that will accommodate our growing attendance. 2009 topics and location information.

Continued and enhanced services with ALSA:
Sheryl has also expanded her role at the Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery Associates (ALSA) Medical Group, Inc. She will be checking in daily, after her rotation at the hospital, to retrieve messages, return telephone calls, set and conduct appointments. Her services are open for continuous post-operative patient support services.
